HR Recruitment and Resignations

Streamlining HR processes is critical for effective workforce management. Discover how we developed custom SharePoint web parts to improve visibility into recruitment and resignation activities, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
Analyzing the Key Challenges

The Challenges

The organization faced challenges with managing and displaying HR-related employee data on their SharePoint homepage, specifically related to recruitment and resignations. The existing systems lacked an interactive way to track and showcase upcoming and past events related to employee onboarding and offboarding. The firm needed a solution to improve visibility and streamline HR processes for better management.

Core Principles

Our Solution

We developed two custom web parts using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to enhance HR recruitment and resignation tracking directly on the organization's home page:

  1. HR Recruitment - Positions Filled: This web part was designed to display newly onboarded employees within a specified period. Key features include:
    • Upcoming Days Selection: Allows HR staff to select a number of upcoming days to display new recruits for a specific time frame, helping keep track of future onboarding events.
    • Toggle Slider: A feature that can be turned on or off to enable or disable the display of recruitment data based on the HR department's needs at any given time.
  2. HR - Resignations Received: This web part showcases offboarding employees (resignations or terminations) within a defined period, allowing HR to monitor employee exits. Key features include:
    • Upcoming and Past Days Selection: Users can select the number of upcoming and past days to display offboarding employees, which helps HR stay informed about the status of employee exits.
    • Interactive View: The dynamic display of this data allows HR to monitor and plan for vacancies and necessary transition actions.
